Right on Target

A signal mirror is arguably the simplest, yet most effective life-saving tool you can use during an overboard emergency. However, projecting a beam of light directly onto a target located miles away can be extremely difficult, especially when the victim is bobbing around in heavy seas.
The new Hot Shot Signal Mirror enables users to “see” when proper alignment with the sun and target is achieved, ensuring optimum sighting by rescue personnel. When the target image, the mirror and the sun are in proper alignment, a holographic red dot appears in the mirror’s special viewing window.
The telescope-quality, second-surface reflective mirror is bright and provides a focused image. A buoyant float is attached, allowing for easy recovery if the mirror is dropped overboard. Also attached is a patented, U.S. Coast Guard-approved whistle for audible alerting in low visibility conditions, and a lanyard for securing to a person or a life raft.
Hot Shot Signal Mirror’s street price is around $9.99.
